Collection of nine Chinese Blanc De Chine porcelain Foh Dogs, circa 1690

An impressive and decorative collection of nine Chinese Dehua “Blanc De Chine” foh dogs dating from the late 17th century (circa 1690) and showing a beautiful melange of white colours (depending on the proportion of kaolin (clay) in the porcelain).

One inscribed on the base:” CITY ART MUSEUM ST LOUIS – MO 1016:40″,  another inscribed five times on the base ” LIAO” in 18th Century characters
